Project Valor IT

It's been a long while since I've posted but I simply could not ignore the Project Valor IT fundraiser/competition that began today in the blogosphere.

The concept is simple and as such, brilliant: Soldier's Angels is raising money to purchase voice-activated laptop computers for our wounded troops who are unable to type due to their injuries. (If you want to read first hand accounts of what this technology has done for these heroes, I encourage you to visit CPT Charles "Chuck" Ziegenfuss, one of the founding partners of the project, who was wounded in Iraq and found himself unable to use his hands.)

Bloggers and civilians have joined teams based on service branches of the US Military (ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE & MARINES) with the goal of raising $45000.00 each for a total of $180,000.00 I've joined TEAM ARMY, of course, which is being led by none other than Matt from BLACK FIVE and you can read his excellent post summing up this friendly little competition here.

By clicking the donation button shown on the sidebar you can give something back to the brave men and women of our military who have given so much of themselves on our behalf. You can also join a team yourself by clicking here. The "competition" begins today, October 30th and ends on Veteran's Day, November 10th.

ARMY STRONG!!!
